I give up!

I dont think this branding process is ever going to stop... I'm still stuck on this wildhairwoman, but I wanted to "tone down" the rest of the card a bit. Tell me what you think! Thanks AP for your suggestions :)

Good Genes?

Let me introduce you to my beautiful Grandma Ooh Hoo. A couple of weeks ago we went home to Indiana to celebrate both Father's day and her 87th Birthday.

This is my latest stab at trying to brand myself - what do you think?

Does it say - fun yet professional?

Just found out today that moo.com is going to do regular business cards in addition to their mini-moos, so I think I'll print my cards with one photo on the back (a great thing with moo.com is that they let you choose mulitiple photos to put on the back).

So let me know what you think.

Wildhairman, Wildhairboy and myself spent a bit of time at the YMCA on Sunday - they have a lovely little pool and a lot of the families we know in our community go there to cool off. We had such a great time - here are a few photos.

Ok, I know I'm probably putting too much effort into this simple task, but I just wasnt happy with what I had come up with before. Tell me - what do you think of this idea? I think it is definatly more my style - but the question is, would you call me to photograph your family if you saw this card?

Family Ties

This past weekend, I packed up my little family and headed home (to Indiana). We had a lovely flight - Wildhairboy was ecstatic for his first trip in First Class - even attempted to read USA Today like the rest of the passengers). This was a very special trip, it was also one filled with much apprehension for myself. I hadn't been home since my Dad died over three years ago, and I was going to visit his side of the family. Added to the mix of this was the fact that I also brought along my mom (they had been divorced since 1986).


The weekend was absolutely delightful. Many little reunions among the larger one - great food (thank you Katie), and special time with my grandma (she turned 87 the week before). I realized through this visit that there are ties that bind families - they transcend time and distance. They can be as simple as the blue eyes and dark hair that many of us share, or as transparent as fleeting memories of grandma's kitchen table. Regardless of how far we travel or where we live, we are family - and that is the most important tie :)
